Hi, I'm M, Founder of Super Directories.

And, rather fittingly, much of Super Directories has been built from my kitchen table.

I created it because I've always believed there are brilliant independent businesses all around us that simply don't get the visibility or recognition they deserve.

Not because they aren't good enough.

Not because they don't work hard enough.

Sometimes, not enough people know they're there.

And I wanted to do something about that.

It Started With a Simple Idea

What if we could create a place that didn't just list independent businesses, but actually championed the people behind them?

The salon owner opening up early.

The tradesperson working from their van.

The family business that's been quietly serving its community for years.

The maker turning an idea into something brilliant from a spare room.

And yes, the business owner building something from the kitchen table... I know that one rather well.

These businesses may look very different, but they have something important in common:

Someone had the courage to begin.

And I think that's worth celebrating.

More Than a Directory

Of course, visibility matters.

As a professionally trained Small Business Coach, I've seen how easy it is for good businesses to feel invisible in an increasingly noisy online world.

But somewhere along the way, Super Directories became about something bigger than simply being found.

Visibility. Trust. Community.

Helping independent businesses become more visible.

Helping people feel more confident discovering and choosing them.

And creating opportunities for business owners to connect, learn, share their stories and feel part of something.

That's why you'll see us talking about Local Heroes, rather than simply businesses on a directory.

Because behind every profile is a real person, family, idea, ambition or story.

Built in London. Built for Independents.

Super Directories is starting here in London, bringing together independent businesses from across the capital within the M25.

From shops and salons to trades, creatives, professionals, home-based businesses and everything in between.

Big premises aren't required.

Big marketing budgets aren't required.

And you certainly don't need a fancy office.

Kitchen tables are very welcome around here.

What matters is that you're building a genuine business you're proud of.

Where We're Going

My ambition isn't simply to build the biggest directory I can.

I'd much rather build a community people are genuinely proud to belong to.

One where Londoners discover brilliant businesses they might otherwise have missed.

Where independent business owners are seen, supported and celebrated.

Where we tell their stories, create connections and remind people that choosing independent can have an impact far beyond a single purchase.

Because when independent businesses thrive, our local communities are stronger for it.

This Is Just the Beginning

Super Directories is still at the beginning of its own story.

And perhaps that's my favourite part.

There are businesses still to discover. Local Heroes still to meet. Stories still to tell. Socials still to enjoy. And probably quite a few cups of tea still to be drunk at my kitchen table.
