Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards that apply when using the Super Directories website, creating or managing a business profile, submitting reviews, offers, events or other content, contacting businesses or otherwise using the services provided by Super Directories Ltd (“Super Directories”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
This Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By using Super Directories, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.
1. PROHIBITED CONTENT
You must not upload, publish, post, submit, transmit, communicate or otherwise make available through Super Directories any content that:
- is unlawful or encourages, promotes or facilitates unlawful activity;
- is threatening, abusive, harassing, intimidating or deliberately harmful;
- is defamatory or infringes another person's legal rights;
- unlawfully infringes another person's privacy or misuses their personal information;
- contains another person's personal or identifying information where you do not have an appropriate right or lawful basis to publish it;
- is obscene or contains pornographic or sexually explicit material inappropriate for the Service;
- exploits, harms or presents a risk of harm to children;
- promotes hatred, unlawful discrimination, harassment or violence against an individual or group;
- unlawfully discriminates against a person because of a characteristic protected under applicable UK equality law;
- contains unlawful discriminatory requirements or preferences in an employment, service, accommodation or other advertisement;
- impersonates another person, business or organisation, or falsely represents your identity, business, qualifications, credentials or relationship with another person or organisation;
- is fraudulent, false, deliberately deceptive or materially misleading;
- uses misleading pricing, offers, claims, descriptions or “bait and switch” practices;
- promotes or advertises goods or services that are unlawful to provide, sell or advertise in the United Kingdom;
- infringes copyright, trade marks, design rights, patents, database rights, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights;
- contains photographs, videos, music, logos, graphics, documents or other material that you do not own or have permission or another lawful right to use;
- contains fake, manipulated or misleading reviews or testimonials;
- offers payment, incentives or other benefits in return for dishonest, fabricated or misleading reviews;
- constitutes spam, junk mail, chain messages, pyramid schemes or other unauthorised or inappropriate promotional activity;
- contains affiliate links, referral schemes or unrelated advertising where these have not been authorised by Super Directories;
- promotes multi-level marketing or recruitment schemes in a misleading, inappropriate or unauthorised manner;
- contains malware, viruses, malicious code or other technology intended to damage, interfere with or gain unauthorised access to computers, networks, software or data;
- deliberately disrupts the normal operation of Super Directories;
- is posted repeatedly or excessively in a way that interferes with another person's use of the Service; or
- otherwise breaches our Terms of Service or applicable UK law.
2. BUSINESS PROFILES, OFFERS & ADVERTISING
Information published through a Super Directories business profile must be genuine, accurate and relate to the business represented.
Businesses must not deliberately misrepresent:
- their identity or trading status;
- their location or service area;
- their qualifications, accreditations or professional memberships;
- their products or services;
- prices or pricing information;
- availability;
- experience;
- awards or achievements;
- reviews or testimonials; or
- any other material information likely to influence a customer's decision.
Offers, promotions, discounts and rewards must be genuine and must clearly state any important restrictions, conditions or expiry dates.
Businesses are responsible for ensuring that their advertisements, promotions and other commercial content comply with applicable UK consumer protection, advertising and other relevant laws and regulations.
Super Directories may request reasonable evidence supporting claims made through a business profile, promotion or other submission.
3. REVIEWS
Reviews submitted through Super Directories must reflect a genuine experience or interaction with the relevant business.
You must not:
- submit a fake review;
- knowingly submit false or misleading information in a review;
- review your own business while pretending to be a customer;
- arrange for another person to submit a fabricated review;
- submit reviews primarily to unfairly damage a competitor;
- offer or accept incentives in exchange for dishonest or misleading reviews;
- threaten a business or reviewer in an attempt to influence a review;
- use reviews to harass or abuse another person; or
- include unnecessary private or sensitive personal information in a review.
Businesses may encourage genuine customers to leave reviews but must not deliberately manipulate the review system.
We reserve the right to investigate and remove reviews that we reasonably believe breach this Policy or our Terms of Service.
4. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You must not use Super Directories for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
In particular, you must not:
- contact another person repeatedly after they have clearly asked you not to contact them;
- stalk, threaten, intimidate or harass another person;
- collect, scrape, harvest or use personal information about users or businesses for unlawful or unauthorised purposes;
- use information obtained through Super Directories to send unlawful unsolicited marketing communications;
- use bots, spiders, crawlers, scrapers, data-mining tools or similar automated technologies to extract or download information from Super Directories without our prior written permission;
- systematically copy, reproduce or republish Super Directories profiles, databases or other content without permission;
- create accounts, profiles, reviews or other content through automated means unless expressly authorised by us;
- attempt to bypass security measures or access accounts, systems, data or areas of the website that you are not authorised to access;
- interfere with, damage, overload or disrupt the website, servers or systems supporting Super Directories;
- attempt to introduce viruses, malware or other malicious technology;
- use misleading email addresses, identities, headers or other information to disguise the origin of communications;
- repeatedly submit identical, substantially similar or irrelevant content;
- misuse contact forms, messaging features, reviews, offers or other website facilities;
- use Super Directories to facilitate fraud, scams or other deceptive practices; or
- encourage or assist another person to do any of the above.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & CONTENT RIGHTS
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions and licences for any content you upload or publish through Super Directories.
This includes photographs, videos, music, logos, graphics, written material and other intellectual property.
You must not knowingly upload or publish content belonging to another person or organisation without permission or another lawful right to use it.
If you believe that content appearing on Super Directories infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us using the details at the end of this Policy.
6. PERSONAL INFORMATION & PRIVACY
You must respect the privacy of other users, customers and businesses.
You must not publish another person's private personal information without an appropriate lawful reason or their permission where required.
Particular care should be taken before publishing information such as:
- private telephone numbers;
- private email addresses;
- home addresses;
- financial information;
- identification documents;
- confidential correspondence; or
- other information that a person would reasonably expect to remain private.
Personal information obtained through Super Directories must not be used unlawfully.

7. SAFETY & SECURITY
You must not use Super Directories in any way that could compromise the security, availability or integrity of the website or its users.
You must not attempt to:
- gain unauthorised access to another user's account;
- obtain another person's password or security credentials;
- probe or test our systems for vulnerabilities without permission;
- circumvent security or access controls;
- interfere with website functionality; or
- introduce malicious software, code or files.
If you become aware of a suspected security issue affecting Super Directories, please contact us promptly.
8. OUR RIGHTS & ENFORCEMENT
We reserve the right to investigate suspected breaches of this Acceptable Use Policy, our Terms of Service or applicable law.
Where we reasonably believe that a breach has occurred, we may take appropriate action, which may include:
- requesting further information;
- issuing a warning;
- editing or removing content where permitted;
- restricting access to particular website features;
- temporarily suspending an account or business profile;
- permanently removing an account or business profile;
- terminating a membership in accordance with our Terms of Service;
- preserving relevant information where reasonably necessary;
- reporting suspected unlawful activity to the police, regulators or other appropriate authorities; or
- taking other action reasonably necessary to protect Super Directories, its Members, users or the public.
Where permitted or required by law, we may cooperate with law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators or other competent authorities investigating suspected unlawful activity.
Any disclosure of personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in this Policy requires Super Directories to monitor every piece of content or communication submitted through the Service.
9. REPORTING CONTENT OR CONDUCT
If you believe that content or activity on Super Directories breaches this Policy, our Terms of Service or applicable law, please contact us.
Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant profile, review, content or activity and explain the nature of your concern.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to investigate the matter.

Where there is an immediate risk to someone's safety or you believe a criminal offence is taking place, you should contact the appropriate emergency or law enforcement service.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Super Directories, our services, applicable law or our operating practices.
The latest version will be published on the Super Directories website and the “Last updated” date will be amended accordingly.
Continued use of the Service following an update will be subject to the version of this Policy then in effect, subject to applicable law.
